Potluck Supper and Court of Awards – Friday, May 18, 6:30 pm on the Callaway's porch
Things to Bring:
Sunday, May 20 , 3:00 pm Service Unit Bridging Ceremony at St. Bede’s.
(Be there at 2:40 pm)
Senior Troop 5880, our favorites, will be organizing this event, and we will help them as a part of our bridging activities. They have asked us to help with the food. We will be in charge of drinks, and we need to decide if we want to do punch and lemonade or just one or the other. Pat thinks we should also provide water.
Our eight Silver Award recipients who are finished will receive their Silver Awards, and all our parents are invited to come and cheer.
We have been asked to do a "ceremonial" bridging, since our troop is the only one that will be bridging to Seniors. All of the girls in the troop will be listed in the program as bridging to Seniors, so please come if you can! We think it is important for younger girls to see this happen. We will also finish off another bridging patch activity by doing this. (We have been assured that this ceremonial bridging will not jeopardize any of the remaining Silver Award completions this summer since we will not officially be registered as Seniors until October 1st.)
Saturday, May 26 from 2-4 p.m. at the Council Office – formation of the new Environmental Committee that will meet at Arabia Mountain, design the Arabia Mountain Patch, and plan Council activities at Arabia Mountain – this is during Memorial Day Weekend, so if you will be out of town, but you are interested in this committee, Pat needs to know.
Friday-Sunday, August 24-26 – proposed date for Whitewater Rafting Trip and Troop's Own Bridging – We’d like to avoid conflicts if we can, so let us know now!
