Need some financial aid to attend Mountain Magic?

page, but we want you to read these guidelines first.
Due to the increase in council camp costs in the past year, we anticipate a larger than normal response for financial aid. To maximize our funds, this may mean fewer financial award amounts but given to more people.
You MUST be a GSGATL Council registered adult participant, or an instructor (from any council) at MMLW to apply. Non-GSGATL participants should apply to your own council for Financial Assistance. (We will happily provide/verify any details about the event to other councils). You may also appeal to your Service Unit, Troop or Council for financial assistance.
Scholarships are granted for up to 50% of the Registration fee only, excluding class/activity fees.
If you received financial aid last year, you may only be eligible for up to ½ of what your received last year.
If you received Financial Assistance last year and cancelled, you are ineligible for Financial Assistance this year.
Sign up early to take advantage of partial/discounted Early Bird & Instructor discounts. After the Early Bird period ends (10/31), EB & Instructor discounts are no longer valid and don't apply.
Don't delay your Financial Assistance request, as classes fill up quickly!
Financial aid requests will be reviewed and finalized promptly by our registrar. The registrar will then send the applicant a discount code for registration.
Financial Aid MUST be submitted and approved PRIOR to registration. We cannot grant scholarships retroactively.
Refunds will be allowed for cancellations requested more than 30 days prior to camp, less a $25 administration fee. This covers our non-refundable online registration fees, credit card fees and other administrative costs.
Registrations may be transferred to another registered GS adult from 7-30 days prior to the event for a $25 processing fee. The new participant will be invoiced for the full amount, and once it is paid, we will refund the original participant minus $25.
Refunds or transfers must be requested in writing by emailling the registrar (email address below).
No refunds allowed within 30 days before the event. We have prepaid in full all of your lodging and meals to Council (GSATL). No transfers allowed within 7 days before the event.

Refunds for pre-paid classes will be awarded after camp ONLY if we are able to fill your slot.
