MOUNTAIN MAGIC LEADER WEEKEND MEETING MINUTES March 29, 2007 - 7:00 – 9:00 PM

Welcome and Introductions – In attendance were Lianne Griffin, Jeanne Andres, Marsha Sussman, Frances Parks, Barb Osment, Kathy Stephan, Marie Lott, Laurie Hackworth, Karen McFadden, and Shannon Glapion.  

We discussed creating a “save the date” card to be distributed at the end-of-year cluster celebration. Jeanne advised that it would be needed by mid-May. Lianne to email to Jeanne and she will print out on card stock and distribute at the cluster meeting.

We discussed the possibility of renting a charter bus to take Saturday day-only people to Misty Mountain.  Jeanne advised that she would investigate the price for chartered buses, capacity up to 55 on a bus (they are available in smaller sizes, too).

We discussed the need for “cleaning kits” for each unit.  Cleaning supplies are supposed to be brought by campers, but we thought the committee should get them/store them. Kathy can get 5 gallon buckets with lids (for easier storage). Karen will work on equipping the buckets with sponges, rubber gloves, cleaning supplies, etc. We’ll include $25 in the budget to stock the cleaning kits.

We reviewed the budget (password protected).  Fees for 2008 will be $50 early bird/$65 “late” registration.  Saturday only will be $25/$35.  Early bird registration will be 9/1 – 10/31; registration 11/1 – 12/15 will be the higher price.

Our next regular committee meeting will be Thursday 4/26 at 7:00 PM at the VSC.
