We will learn how to take Altoid tin and make it in to something useful and cute. I think you will have a fun time. All materials needed You will need a glue gun and glue sticks. please bring an empty altoid tin with you. I will have the beads . But if you have some you want to use, feel free to bring them . Also the tins I give you will be painted in advance. Again if you have a special color in mind you might want to paint it in advance and bring it with you. I will provide 3 different colors. Go for the bull's eye. After a safety orientation, an archery instructor will guide you through practice shooting. If you are checking this class out for troop camping, it is for grades 2+. This activity lasts about one hour. It will start promptly at the posted start time; latecomers are not always able to be added to class.

Learn some basic cake decorating techniques (including making roses) and decorate a cake to take home. Also, some baking and icing tips. Come with cake decorating ideas for your cake. Camp Helper

Camp helpers assist the Planning Committee by collecting class rosters and taking photos of classes in progress. You'll walk around camp and see what the classes are doing (this will help you pick which class you want to take next year!) Alcohol inks are an easy and inexpensive medium that allow all ages, from daisies to adults, to create vibrant, sophisticated colorful art. We will create a hanging decorative Stamped Glass panel with layered alcohol ink marbling. We will also ink a candle and other items as time allows. Basic alcohol ink marbling will be taught with examples of other methods provided. Every family has its own traditions - and the Girl Scout family is no different! Learn "fun" ways to share traditions common to all USA Girl Scouts with your group, then go in depth with the tradition of ceremonies. We'll explore how Girl Scouts at every grade level can plan their own ceremonies, from investiture to bridging and everything in-between: meeting openings and closings, flag ceremonies, awards, rededication (including pinning and membership stars), Scouts' Own, and Girl Scout special days. Props for practicing ceremonies; electronic copies of sample ceremonies; recommended websites. We will make time for crafts of outdoor theme and then search for the Cheshire Cat in a scavenger hunt outdoors.

I will teach how to start a crochet project, how to make the first row, how to finish off and weave in ends of the yarn. We will talk about yarn types and crochet hooks, and how to read a pattern.

Will be teaching fun and simple innovative ways of making animal shapes from paper clay, based on Alice in Wonderland animals. Examples are Cheshire Cat and White Rabbit. Also will give handout with recipe to make paper clay projects from scratch to be used by a troop. Each participant will pickup their clay art on Saturday night after dinner. (because it must be baked in the oven for 30 minutes at 350 degrees and cooled off before sealant will be applied) Paper Clay is an inexpensive, less complicated material used instead of traditional clay. It can air dry or be dried in a home oven and only takes a short time to complete each project. The group will spend approximately 30 minutes in the arena reviewing safety procedures, and 30 minutes on the trail.

Participant will make a pendant and earrings set from sea glass using a simple wire wrap technique for the pendant and will hot glue a small piece of glass to earring posts to make the set of earrings. Pictures will be shown of other wrappings that are more elaborate and also drilling techniques to make hole in glass for other uses. Paritcipants will not be drilling any glass. Participants will use the instructor's equipment to silk screen a t-shirt or item of their choice with a logo featuring this year's theme. You may leave as soon as your item has been processed. Screen. paints and any necessary tools, paper to put behind shirt, clothespins and line to hang items. Participant needs to bring t-shirt or other item with a flat blank surface of at least 12"x12". Small tote bags and t-shirts with pockets on the other side do not do well. Bring a hanger for t-shirt to dry afterwards. A lovely Alice in Wonderland themed Brunch Tea will be served. The focus of this Tea will be a party you could plan for your girls. The menu will include both sweet and savory brunch foods that are both delicious and kid approved. Participants will learn about and taste different types of tea including black, white, green, herbal and more. You will gain ideas on planning and hosting your own tea parties for a variety of occasions, whether you are entertaining a women's group, girlfriends, or young ladies. A Brunch Tea will be served including a variety of teas, savories, and sweet treats. A pen if you want to take any notes. Participants will take home a booklet containing tea information shared in class including recipes for a variety of savory and sweet tea treats.
